Here we cover some of the most frequently asked questions about the Rent-a-Website service.

What are the benefits to renting a website?
Simply put the main benefits are that it costs less to set up, it is a quick and simple process and you have the peace of mind of knowing that it is being managed for you. It has more benefits than paying for a design outright, but less cost and more adaptability.
How long does it take to get the website online?
From placing your order it can take as little as 48 hours to get your website online. Rather than waiting for a final design we initially register your chosen domain name and set up your first draft of your template as quickly as possible. Then you can see how it looks and suggest whatever changes you wish for until you are happy with the final design.
What is the minimum term of rental?
The shortest period of rental we offer is 6 months. After 6 months you can choose to stay with your current design or choose a new template.
What happens if I want to change the size of my site during the initial 6 months?
Provided that you are increasing the size of your site you can change it by requesting a pack upgrade at any point in your rental term. You cannot request a pack downgrade or a template change during the first 6 months of your rental, however you can change either of those options after the first 6 months.
How much design or internet knowledge do I need?
Almost none. We take care of all of the technical side of your site. All you need to do is to be able to send us the text for your site (either in an email or a word processor document) and we take care of the rest.
I'm unsure about the domain name that is best - what do you suggest?
We can suggest a few different domain names depending on the type and location of your business. All you have to do is request some suggestions and we can take it from there.
I already have a website but I really need someone to manage it for me - can you help?
We can either manage your current site or transfer its content into one of our templates. Please contact us for further details.
Who owns the website I rent from you?
We own the copyright to the design of the site, however you own the copyright to the content of the site. No one owns the domain name or the hosting space as these are rented.
What if I don't want the site anymore?
If you cancel your rental within the first 6 months you will receive a bill for the remaining amount of that 6 month period. If you cancel your rental at any point outside of the 6 month term your site will cease to exist after your last payment has expired.
